Waterfront
The Susquehannock Camps are located on spring-fed Tripp Lake. Features of our waterfront include: a diving board, plenty of fishing gear, a slide, a trampoline, and a variety of boats. Boys and girls enjoy daily swims at separate times. Each camp session features exciting events like regattas and swim relays that utilize the waterfront to build team spirit.
Safety is our first priority. All swim instructors are lifeguard certified and are overseen by our waterfront directors. Every swim is led by a certified lifeguard who is 21 years of age or older.
Campers come to the lake daily for free swimming or personalized swim instruction. The swim program teaches campers basic strokes and how to be comfortable in the water. One-on-one instruction is made available for less-confident swimmers. Susquehannock is proud to have taught thousands of children this critical life skill.
Once campers can show our lifeguards that they can swim the length of Tripp Lake through a supervised “Lake Swim,” they are encouraged to learn how to safely navigate our canoes, sailboats, rowboats, and paddleboats.
