Football (Boys/Girls)

The Football program at Susquehannock challenges campers through the fast-paced game of Flag Football. Flag Football serves as a no-contact and accessible format to introduce and further develop fundamental skills specific to Football, as well as to emphasize the athleticism of multi-sport development. Skills like throwing and catching the football, as well as route running and defensive coverage techniques are taught in practice sessions, and then applied in competitive games. For those who play Flag or tackle Football competitively outside of camp, there are specialized practice sessions available. Additionally, Susquehannock frequently employs staff with Rugby Football experience. Exposure to this “foreign” sport is part of the international flavor of Susquehannock, and offers skills transferable to American football. The Susquehannock Football program provides a safe, healthy environment for new and experienced players to enjoy one of America’s most popular sports.
