Professional Track Sprint Cyclist Mandy Marquardt is a 27-time U.S. National Champion, 5-time U.S. National Track Record Holder, 2-time Pan American Games Medalist, and Olympic hopeful. Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 16, Marquardt races for Team Novo Nordisk, the world’s first-all Diabetes professional Cycling team. Mandy is passionate about being a role model for young children worldwide as well as for everyone affected by Diabetes. She is currently pursuing her MBA with the Penn State World Campus – Smeal College of Business and is an active ambassador for many organizations, including TrueSport, The Taylor Hooton Foundation and the St. Luke’s University Health Network in Allentown, PA.
