U.S. Soccer Foundation to Join The Susquehannock Camps for #Summer118 🧡⚽💙

As part of our mission to provide expert-level sport instruction to campers of all ages and backgrounds, we are excited to announce a new partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation!

The U.S. Soccer Foundation will be joining the team this summer to provide high-level coaching instruction and education to the staff and campers. They will also be providing staff certification in their Coach-Mentor training program for our counselors.

While the consistent development of skills and fundamentals is always part of a coach’s job, this program helps coaches improve and accomplish two key things:

• Improve the youth sports experience, learn how to create positive, lasting connections with youth and develop/harness the social and emotional skills of young people.
• The training also teaches coaches how to work effectively with youth in and from under-served communities and create a positive team culture that reflects the diversity of the youth they serve, which is critical when coaches work with young people of varying racial, gender and socioeconomic backgrounds.
